How many followers, cars, boats, and homes do you need? How much money do you need? What about the smaller things in life? How many clothes, purses, guns, jewelry, bikes, guitars, shoes, and more does it take to satisfy you?
Understand that the word here is satisfy, not happy.
People often buy material things to soothe their emotional scars. To some degree, that promotes healing. But when it is carried to extremes, it’s a sign that healing is not taking place. It’s a sign that a person may need a different kind of help.
If you live in a state of gluttony, ask yourself why. Is it a lack of impulse control, feeding your ego, or are you simply filling a bottomless hole?
How much is enough? Look for the answer. You’ll find it if you want to look in the mirror and ask some difficult questions
You can buy lots of things and still maintain a healthy relationship with your stuff and your money. The trick is to know when enough is enough.
