One of the important elements of growing your career and your income is providing as much value as possible to the people who pay you.
When you become the “go-to” person, you become a de facto problem solver and a leader. The cool part is, you can do this at any level of where and who you work for.
While you still need to establish some work boundaries, the smartest and most ambitious people know that to grow, you’ve got to keep trying new and harder shit. You will fail from time to time, but that’s a good thing because it means you’re extending yourself. You’re growing, and that’s a precursor to success.
Also, if you run and hide at the thought of putting yourself out there, you have no excuses to be mad when others score big, and you do not.
